We can hear you thinking out loud right now: What does a blog post about group practice growth have to do with my healing journey from a toxic relationship or trauma event?

Here at Rooted Survivors Therapy, everything we do: every step we take, every clinician we welcome, and every milestone we reach: is entirely about you. When we started as a solo vision dedicated to helping survivors navigate the heavy aftermath of intimate partner violence, childhood abuse, and complex PTSD across California and Oklahoma, our dream was simple: to create a sacred, unwavering space where people could finally catch their breath.

Today, we are stepping into an exciting new chapter, and we want to pull back the curtain to share how we got here, what we've learned, and why Lauren Taylor is thrilled to join Joe Sanok for Group Practice Launch Week.

Whether you are a client walking alongside us in your recovery or a clinician dreaming of expanding your own impact, this story is about the messy, beautiful reality of building spaces that heal.

The Leap from Solo to Group: Why Expansion Matters When the Need is So High

When you are sitting in the dark haze of anxiety, depression, or hypervigilance, the world often feels terribly small and isolating. You might catch yourself believing, "I have to carry this completely on my own because no one else could possibly understand."

This is normal, and it is not your fault.

For a long time, Rooted Survivors Therapy operated as a solo practice, holding space for incredible individuals who were tired of walking on eggshells and keeping their head barely above water. But as we listened closer to our communities in California and Oklahoma, a sobering reality became crystal clear: the need for specialized, trauma-responsive care is staggering, and one therapist can only hold so much space at once.

Transitioning from a solo practice to a specialized group practice wasn't just a logistical business choice; it was an ethical imperative. We realized that to truly meet the depth of trauma, PTSD, and relational wounding our clients face, we needed to build a collective of expert guides. Growth in mental health care matters because healing does not happen in a vacuum: it happens in relationship, through shared wisdom, and by ensuring that no survivor is ever left waiting on a lengthy waitlist when their nervous system is crying out for safety.

  • From isolation to community: Expanding allowed us to bring together clinicians who specialize in EMDR, DBT, CBT, and relational therapy.

  • Deepening our expertise: By gathering brilliant minds under one roof, we sharpened our ability to decode toxic relationship cycles and complex trauma.

  • Honoring sustainability: We learned that clinicians who are supported and rested can show up with deeper empathy and presence for you.

Joining Joe Sanok for Group Practice Launch Week

We are beyond thrilled to announce that Lauren Taylor, our Clinical Director and LMFT, is joining Joe Sanok for his upcoming Group Practice Launch Week panel discussion!

If you follow the world of private practice growth, you know Joe Sanok and Practice of the Practice are pioneers in helping clinicians scale with integrity. When you move from a solo practice to a group practice, the emotional and operational landscape shifts dramatically. You go from managing your own caseload to nurturing a thriving ecosystem of clinicians, all while protecting the sacred clinical standard your clients deserve.

During this upcoming panel, we will be sharing the raw, unvarnished truth of our journey:

  • The late-night planning sessions and the moments of imposter syndrome ("Are we really ready for this?").

  • The delicate art of maintaining clinical excellence and deep trauma-informed care while expanding our footprint across California and Oklahoma.

  • Practical, hard-earned insights for clinicians who feel the pull to grow their impact beyond a single caseload.

We invite clinician colleagues, friends of the practice, and anyone curious about the inner workings of mental health leadership to join us. You can register for the Group Practice Launch Week panel here.

What This Means for Our Clients: Our Unwavering Commitment to You

We know that when you are vulnerable, trusting a practice that is growing can bring up a flicker of anxiety. You might wonder, "Will things change? Will I still receive that deeply personal, attuned care?"

Take a deep, grounding breath. Let your shoulders drop away from your ears.

Here is our absolute promise to you: Our commitment to high-quality, specialized virtual care remains at the very heart of everything we do.

Growing into a group practice does not dilute our mission; it supercharges it. It means we can offer more specialized modalities: whether you are processing painful memories through EMDR, building emotional regulation and rock-solid boundaries with DBT, untangling negative thought loops through CBT, or rediscovering your authentic self through Trauma-Informed Relational Therapy.

Healing is messy, uncomfortable, and wonderfully non-linear. Some days you will feel like you are leaping forward, and other days you will feel the familiar pull of self-doubt. But as we grow, we want you to remember:

  • Old belief: "If my therapist's practice is growing, I'm just another number on a spreadsheet."

  • Affirming truth: "My healing is held by a connected, collaborative team whose sole purpose is to help me reclaim my life and trust my instincts again."

Let's Walk This Path Together

Whether you are a clinician inspired to take the leap from solo practice to group, or an individual ready to reclaim your peace after navigating toxic relationship patterns, you do not have to do it alone.

We are here to walk alongside you in partnership: bridging clinical expertise with profound human empathy.

  • For Clinicians & Friends: Don't forget to register for the Group Practice Launch Week panel to hear firsthand lessons from Lauren Taylor and other practice leaders.

  • For Survivors & Clients: If you are ready to begin your healing journey in California or Oklahoma, explore our core services and reach out to connect with a clinician who truly understands.

Be gentle with yourself today. Maintain your curiosity. You are reclaiming your story, one brave step at a time.
